There is a natural human desire to be known
There is a natural human desire to be KNOWN. Not in the sense of thousands of followers on social media, but simply having a genuine connection with another person.
I’m often reminded of this truth when eating out.
A young cashier recently asked for my name at the end of my order. “Rusty” I replied. "Oh wow! Just like in the movie CARS." she excitedly said.
My order came back as “Rusteze”.
It’s amazing how many ways people can spell my first name. Some of the more memorable iterations include:
-Rusdy
-Roostee
-Rustie
Or one of my favorites – Lusty
So today, whether your name is Kurtis, Kelli, Daylun, etc. may you feel KNOWN for who you are ….and if you are a person of faith, feel KNOWN for whose you are!
